Real Mobility Solutions

Many people with disabilities use mobility scooters to get around, especially outside of their homes. But how do you know if a power scooter is right for you? The answer isn't always straightforward.

Maybe you're getting older or have an elderly family member who can't use a walker or cane. Perhaps you can't walk or stand for long periods, but you still want to go to the store, the park, or family gatherings. Why shouldn't you be able to do that?

Mobility scooters can be the perfect solution for these situations. Our scooters are comfortable, convenient, and easy to transport. Power scooters can make it possible for you to do tasks you couldn't do before independently.

When you're searching for a new mobility scooter, remember they're different from an electric wheelchair. A power scooter is larger, with handlebars and a platform for your feet. It also has only three or four wheels, while a power wheelchair usually has at least six, and you operate them with a joystick.

Mobility scooters are great for people who need a little extra support when they are on the move. Power scooters are well suited for outdoor mobility as well as indoor. Power wheelchairs are often better for indoor environments, depending on the kind you use.

Whatever your needs, Active Lifestyle Products is committed to providing the best mobility products in Texas. Call us today with any questions you may have or to receive a free quote on your new mobility scooter.

Mobility Scooter FAQ's

1How often will I need to charge my mobility scooter?
Charging your scooter all depends on your use. If you are only using it once or twice a week, a single weekly charge to full capacity will suffice. If you are using it often and for extended periods of time, try to charge your scooter at the end of your day’s use.
2Will my insurance pay for my mobility scooter?
Mobility scooters are only covered by medical insurance at a time when medically necessary, which must be determined and prescribed by a medical professional.
3Do mobility scooters come with warranties?
Yes, select models do come with warranties. For details, feel free to give us a call here at Active Lifestyle Products. We’ll make sure you have everything you could possibly need!
4Can I use my mobility scooter in the rain/water?
Rain, water, and other forms of concentrated moisture can in fact negatively affect your mobility scooter. Like any electrical machine with metal components, scooters are susceptible to rust, corrosion, and even electrical damage. In the case of heavy moisture exposure, try to dry off your scooter the best you can and store it in a dry area for up to 12 hours. If you begin to notice functional issues with your machine, be sure to visit your authorized scooter provider for assistance.
5How will my mobility scooter affect travel?
Mobility scooters are heavy. For that reason, we offer top of the line scooter lift equipment options to install into your vehicle to make traveling with your scooter easy and strain-free.
